Places of Interest:
The Beautiful White Town Of Salobreña, Perched On A Hill Topped By A Moorish Castle, Rises Out Of A Sea Of Sugar Cane Fields And The Tropical Fruit Trees. Tourism Here Has Been Managed So That The Beach Area Has Few High Rise Buildings And While Other Mediterranean Resorts Have Changed Character In Response To Mass Tourism, Salobreña Has Kept A Very Spanish Feel. You Can See This In Its Several Bars And Restaurants Where You Will Find Good Fish And Other Fresh Local Ingredients. It Is A Relatively Tranquil Place For Mediterranean Spain And You May Well Get The Beach To Yourself For An Early Morning Stroll. Or You Can Take A Hike Through The Narrow Streets Of The Old Town Which Climb Higgledy-piggledy To The Restored Arab Castle From Which There Are Wonderful Views Over The Sea, The Sugar Canes And, Inland, Up Towards The 2, 000 M (6, 560 Ft) Heights Of The Sierra Nevada National Park. Granada, With The Alhambra Is 60 Km Away; Malaga Is 90 Km And The Costa Del Sol Is Nearby. There Are Plenty Of Interesting Places To Visit On Half-day Or Whole Day Trips From Salobreña. In Winter, You Can Even Go Skiing For A Few Hours Before Coming Back Down To The Much More Agreeable Temperatures At Sea Level.

Further Details:
Salobreña has three supermarkets and a range of smaller shops selling most of the items you'll need on holiday. Nearby Motril has more shops and a larger supermarket.

Booking Notes:
We ask for a deposit of half the price of the stay and the rest is paid to Josefina, the housekeeper, on your arrival when she will give you the keys. We prefer to be paid in euros and in cash. If you send a cheque in pounds or dollars we won't cash it but keep it as a security and give it back to you when you arrive. We have a non-refundable policy but the booking period may be exchanged according to availability.

Changeover Day:
Saturdays are normally change over days but there is flexibility whenever possible
