Lovely, modern 3 bed / 2 bath home with Heated Pool, WiFi and Golf

Afallon is a modern, light and airy home with excellent accommodation. Decorated in a modern style by a professional interior design company, this house is attractive and functional. A good kitchen with eat-in area is at the back of the house, giving easy access to the spacious lanai with table and chairs for 6 guests. There are also good sun loungers and a large deck area. The pool has optional pool heat and there is a removable child safety barrier around the pool. The rear aspect looks out over an inland waterway. The master suite has a King size bed and a beautiful ensuite with tub, separate shower, his and hers vanity units and wc. Bedroom 2 has a Queen and Bedroom 3 has 2 singles, both sharing the 2nd bathroom. Rotonda is perfect for relaxing! Wide gulf beaches to the West and smaller, Caribbean style beaches to the South on the Island. The sand here is soft and is places you can find small fossils sharks teeth which are great fun to collect and identify. If you drove to Sarasota for a day, you have the powder white sand which it is famous for, although the beaches can become quite crowded. Almost everything can be reached within 15 minutes. That includes shops, restaurants, State Parks, Kayaking, Tennis and Golf. Rotonda itself has 6 golf courses and 4 of these form our Golf Scoop of which Afallon is a member. Free golf in the summer (just a single admin fee of £35.00 per booking and golf cart hire is a personal expense). From mid-December to early April, there is an additional charge of £35.00 per adult per week (max 2 adults). Fishing is another popular pastime here . Backwater fishing offers excellent sport for Red fish, Snook, Spotted Trout, Sheep Head and Lady Fish. Review Submitted: 09 June 2012 Date of Stay: May 2012 Where to start ! Even before we left the UK the service we received was first class. The information packs sent to us detailing the property and the area were very informative and most helpful. They also turned out to be very accurate. The owners could not have been more helpful and were a joy to deal with. The villa is of a superior standard and very well maintained. It has everything you would ever need and more. Everything is spotlessly clean and in perfect working order. This includes the bikes which are safe to use around the community. The in-house wi-fi was also very handy. We were fascinated by the canal out the back which is teeming with wildlife as is the area in general. The beaches in this area are beautiful. We spent many hours collecting shells and sharks teeth around Manasota Key and Boca Grande. The restaurants are also excellent. We especially liked Cafe 776 which doesn't look much from the outside but the shrimp and chips are to die for! Harpoon Harrys at Fisherman's Village at Port Charlotte is also worth a visit as the specialty shops there are a good place to pick up souvenirs and gifts. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa which would be suitable for couples, young families, anybody really! The villa is beautifully kept, tastefully decorated, lovely and clean, and is very well equipped for a family to stay in. Our two children loved the pool, which is a great size and gets the sun all day. There is a good sized lanai outside with a BBQ and table and it is a lovely spot to relax in. The villa is situated in an extremely peaceful spot (we hardly saw anyone else around) and its fun to look out for aligators in the river that runs across the back of the property! The area of Rotonda is a perfect base for a beach holiday as you are only 10-15 mins away from some gorgeous beaches - we can especially recommend Gaspirilla Island! Christine was extremely helpful from our initial contact with her and provided us with a very informative information pack about the house and local area. All in all we can't recommend this villa enough! It is wonderful. Recommended for: Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
