Just about everyone here speaks English, but you can practice your French, Dutch or Spanish if you wish. No need to change currencies, dollars, guilders and euros are accepted everywhere. What could be easier? SXM offers a host of spectacular daytime and nighttime options for your relaxation and pleasure. Fabulous water sports and 37 free-to-the-public beaches (including two clothing optional beaches), informal gourmet dining day and night, duty-free shopping, nightclubs, open markets, historic forts and casinos head a never-ending list of places to go and things to do. The question is never \\\\\\\"What to do?\\\\\\\" It\\\\\\\'s \\\\\\\"What to do next?\\\\\\\" Whether dining in Grand Case, Marigot or Maho, it is not at all unusual to find that the couple sitting next you at the restaurant is the same couple that was sitting next to you on the beach. People tend to be very friendly and outgoing. Friendships are easily established and some couples and groups of couples return to meet in SXM year after year.
