Travel Review On Our Luxury Holiday Villa In Torrevieja Costa Blanca Spain.
Located in Torrevieja Costa Blanca Spain this luxury holiday villa would be a No 1 place to stay . You won\\\\\\\'t be short of things to do and places to visit in Torrevieja whether you\\\\\\\'re a sports lover, food fan, history buff or simply a sun lover. With La Zenia beach 4km away with fine sand and plentiful squares, walkways, parks, gardens and natural beauty spots to explore or visit the ancient sea port full of history where you can still see reminders of its colourful past. There’s the embarcadero romano, the old Roman docks at La Mata, and along the coast you\\\\\\\'ll see the ancient watch towers of La Mata and El Moro used to warn locals of impending pirates. If you are interested in art the famous modernist Casino sits on the seafront the casino which was built in 1887 with an impressive mozarabic-style hall and is now used as a cultural centre. The Recinto de las Eras de las Sal is another historic site which was once an ancient salt yard but is now an open air theatre where the annual Habaneras international music competition is held in August. Visit the salt flats which surround the town - the salterns which are a nature reserve and home to 250 species of bird including flamingos which always make visitors smile if visiting the town for the first time. For sporty types Torrevieja offers a good range of water sports as well as tennis, biking, hiking, horse riding and golf. The highly rated Las Ramblas golf course centre is here and you can even take to the skies with Torrevieja flying club. For day trips and excursions head up the coast where you\\\\\\\'ll find the beautiful beaches of Guardamar, bordered by sand dunes and palm gardens on the northern side of the town. The city of Alicante is an excellent shopping and entertainment centre just 47 kilometres north of Torrevieja. For some great family days out head north to Benidorm which boasts Spain\\\\\\\'s biggest theme park, Terra Mitica, the water world of Aqualandia and the exotic bird and marine life centre Mundomar. All in all Torrevieja has something for everyone and would be an enjoyable and affordable place to stay.
